International Insights: Business Between the U.S. & Mexico  8/15/2016

Suppliers looking to do business internationally face a variety of challenges, many which are unique to each country in which they are looking to do business. For U.S.-based suppliers looking to do business in Mexico, and Mexican suppliers looking to do business in the U.S., there are a host of regulations and logistics requirements that need to be addressed, particularly when it comes to food.

Julio Capuano, CEO of Enlace Corporativo, a Mexican importer and consulting firm addressing international business, provided some tips on suppliers looking to do business across the U.S.-Mexico border, during ECRM's International Foods EPPS held in Miami last month.

Among the topics discussed in the videos below are:

  • Logistics
  • Packaging and labeling
  • Government requirements
  • Working with mporters and distributors
  • Taxes
  • Contracts
The video playlist below also includes a segment on how Julio leverages ECRM's tools and processes to find new and unique products for import to Mexico.
