Seattle-based CBD supplier Mad Ritual landed a partnership with iconic Pacific Northwest retailer Bartell Drugs following a meeting at ECRM’s Hemp/CBD Health & Beauty Care session earlier this year, where the supplier was also a Buyers Choice Award winner for its CBD topical balms.

“RangeMe and the ECRM CBD Health/Beauty program helped us go from farmers markets to large retailers,” says Jessica Rice, Co-Founder of Mad Ritual. “As a small business, there are just a few of us handling the work of multiple departments. ECRM helped facilitate introductions to prospective retailers that would have taken resources and time that our startup simply didn’t have. Our big win at ECRM was closing a deal with Bartell Drugs – a great accomplishment for our first session and for only having been on the RangeMe platform a few short months. We can’t wait to go back as an established brand and win more business.”

Mad Ritual was founded in 2017 with a mission to serve others by offering sustainable products that make a positive impact on their lives. Its balms are scented naturally with organic essential oils with base ingredients including cocnut oil, shea butter, olive oil, candelilla wax and hemp-derived CBD oil. The company sources its hemp oil from a producer that is registered with the Colorado State Department of Agriculture and grown in accordance with section 7606 of the 2014 US Farm Bill, and features high-quality, terpene and cannabinoid rich broad-spectrum oil, according to the company. They are produced in a certified GMP facility. 

Bartell began carrying Mad Ritual's Eucalyptus + Peppermint and Lavender + Frankincense CBD balms in all 64 stores last month. “This partnership means a lot to us because Bartell Drugs was the first major drug chain to spearhead the CBD category,” says Rice, “Bartell’s dedication to supporting local and regional brands is not only admirable, but also vital in strengthening our local economy and we are honored to be a part of that effort.” 

Embodying the minimal and environmentally conscious spirit of the Pacific Northwest, Mad Ritual balms are vegan and made with sustainable, organic ingredients, have no synthetic emulsifiers or fragrances.
